The morning after the night before Leigh Griffiths took to twitter.
Against Astana the Scotland striker put in an awesome performance- worrying the Astana defence and providing great link up play with his team-mates.
Only some over enthusiastic flag work by the linesman on the North Stand side prevented Griffiths from hitting a hat-trick but with one strong assist that was given as an own goal by Igor Shitov he was a major factor in the success.
What a night. We’re almost there. Fans were incredible. ???????????? pic.twitter.com/OnqMeI0pe7

After a difficult start to the season due to injuries and a ridiculous suspension Griffiths has claimed the strikers jersey from Moussa Dembele.
Last season the Frenchman was first choice after stepping in to replace Griffiths in September leaving the former Wolves striker frustrated on the sidelines.
Brendan Rodgers never lost faith in Griffiths with his patience and hard work rewarded last night with Celtic on the brink of a return to the Champions League group phase.
