Chuckling Kris Boyd has been left red faced once again by Chris Sutton.
Last season the Kilmarnock striker made a fool of himself explaining how there wasn’t much of a gap between Sevco and Celtic based on a shot from Barrie McKay that went past the post in a 5-1 rout.
Celtic took the title by 39 points and beat the Ibrox side in the semi-final of both cup competitions.
Rather than get burnt again tangling with the former Celtic striker Boyd has been sharing his unique insight with Sun readers.
“I HAD a chuckle to myself when Celtic didn’t get Patrick Roberts signed on Tuesday night,” he explained.
“Someone said they had it on good authority it was a done deal.
“Well, I’ve got it on good authority that his Twitter following went up when he came out with that. Which I’m pretty sure was all that he wanted.”
Looking across The Sun this morning Boyd will find half a dozen stories relating to Celtic signing Roberts for another season.
.@btsportfootball I don’t like to tell you I told you so…. But I did????????Roberts is a signing that takes this Celtic team up a notch ????????????

At no stage did Sutton tell BT Sport viewers that Roberts was joining on Tuesday night to face Astana, when he gave that interview everyone knew that the winger was with Manchester City in Spain.
He will be signing for Celtic early next week with the only consolation for Boyd being that the 20-year-old won’t be tearing up his Kilmarnock team-mates this afternoon.
