Pedro Caixinha has made a memorable return to public speaking with the revelation that his job is to blow up the balloon!

Throughout the summer the fifth best coach in Qatar was sharing his words of wisdom until Progres Niederkorn exposed his limited ability with their first ever UEFA win.

Defeat in Luxembourg saw Caixinha trying to reason with fans knee deep in a hedge before spending a month fine tuning his squad into shape to record wins over Watford and Sheffield Wednesday.

The boost of those victories brought the confidence to speak to someone other than Rangers TV with yesterdays daily newspaper conference full of wisdom.

I don’t know what the word pressure means,” he told The Sun. “I’ve never understood what it means. Pressure for me is a physics concept.

I know I have a responsibility by being in this chair. I know how massive my challenge, responsibility and work are.

I’m glad to try and do it in the best possible way.

My work is to blow up the balloon. The air goes out of it for everyone when you have bad results, but I don’t take that as a pressure.”

Pedro will discover that pressure applies outside of the physics concept as soon as Sevco fall behind Celtic in the SPFL.

Motherwell on Sunday will provide a tough test for the best squad in Scotland with the home side enjoying four wins in the League Cup while Caixinha was being humiliated in Luxembourg.
