It seems that a goal in a friendly against Sheffield Wednesday has transformed Dean Windass from a Europa League dud into a worldbeater!

Speaking to the Daily Record he said: “I have been linked with every club in England for the last two weeks but my mind’s been firmly fixed on playing for Rangers.
“Unless you are signing for Real Madrid or Manchester Utd, which at the moment doesn’t look likely, there is nowhere better to play your football than at this massive football club.
“It is better than a lot of clubs down in England. My mind has firmly been on getting in to this team. I get tweets and messages saying this club wants me or that club wants me.”
Despite his goal at Sheffield Wednesday there is unlikely to be a rush of interest in Windass who is under contract at Ibrox until 2020.
Peterborough were linked with the midfielder earlier in the transfer window but have switched their attention to other targets.
