Celtic fans were delighted by Leigh Griffiths two goal contribution to the 4-1 win over Hearts.
The Scotland striker opened the scoring and headed the third goal before being replaced by Jonny Hayes as the hoops eased to an opening day victory.
Goals against Hearts mean plenty to Griffiths with the Celtic support sharing his joy as the striker got the domestic season off to a winning start.
Leigh Griffiths really looked like he was enjoying himself out there today. That’s really good to see

What pissed me off today having a tenner on Leigh Griffiths to score a hatrick and he gets subbed just after he scores his 2nd #paddypower

You could play Leigh Griffiths on his own against Hearts and he’d still score at least 1.

It took Celtic until the half hour mark to open the scoring with Griffiths racing through on goal and showing quick feet to net after his initial effort was blocked.
Early in the second half Scott Sinclair doubled the lead with a close range effort before Griffiths produced a diving header to get on the end of a cross from Callum McGregor.
After Hayes replaced Griffiths there was one further Celtic goal with McGregor smashing in an unstoppable shot from 20 yards out before Hearts pulled back a late consolation.
