After being told about the barking dogs and the Ibrox caravan Pedro Caixinha just couldn’t let go.

The fifth best coach in Qatar brought the subject up during his broadcast media conference then couldn’t let go of it when he got round to sitting down with the daily newspapers.

Four points from three matches and a Europa League KO from Progres Niederkorn appear to have been airbrushed out of Caixinha’s mind as he listens to his own voice and the deflection tactics from inside Ibrox.

I have a really strong character, I love arguments and challenges,” he told the Daily Record.

I’m the one who, if I need to get out and pull the caravan by myself, I will be the first one to do that.

Even if the dogs are going to get me after. I don’t care. Let them bark but I’m not going to tell you it will happen today, tomorrow or the day after – just that we are working hard and we are all heading in this direction.

Knowing that the dogs are barking but the caravan is moving. The caravan is moving and disturbing a lot of people. We don’t care. We just care that the caravan is always moving.

I was brought here to help the club return to the glory days. And I will do it.”

Later on Caixinha added: “We are moving the caravan in the right direction in order for you to win. The boys are working hard in that direction.

We have the players. Don’t you think we did enough to win a football match against Hibs and Hearts? Sometimes we are focused on the result.

Yes, the result is what really matters but we need to look behind the curtain. And behind the curtain is the window that the caravan is moving. So let the dogs bark.”

Caixinha’s caravan heads up the A9 tomorrow for Dingwall in the likelihood that they will kick off at Ross County eight points behind the league leaders.

Barry Ferguson, Alex Rae and Derek Johnstone have added their voices to the warnings that Caixinha can’t afford to lose tomorrow at Dingwall.

New signing Aaron Nemane could be in line for a debut three days after his first training session at Murray Park with Sevco scoring just four goals in their opening three matches- the same amount as Micky O’Halloran who is on loan at St Johnstone from Ibrox.
