Pedro Caixinha is taking a four day holiday as the transfer window closes!

While most managers spend every spare minute trying to improve their squad before the transfer window closes at midnight on Thursday the Ibrox boss will be back home in Portugal attending a university class.

Sevco go into the international break sitting five points behind leaders Aberdeen despite a gentle start to the season that hasn’t included facing any of the top three teams.

A 3-1 win away to Ross County has eased the pressure from the fifth best coach in Qatar who has already spent £10m on new faces.

I will go to Portugal for a university class and the players will have four days off to recover,” Caixinha told The Sun.

While I’m away l will be in contact with Mark. We know what we want and we’re working on it.

I was pleased with the first half, but I didn’t like the way we lost passes that led to the goal in the second-half.

That led to the momentum shifting to the opponent. We lost a lot of balls and that’s something we need to analyse with the boys.”

After yesterday’s win at Ross County Caixinha joined the BT Sport panel discussing the game.

When Chris Sutton asked him to explain having the best squad in Scotland he claimed that he didn’t care about Celtic and wouldn’t compare his squad with anyone else.

In July the best squad in Scotland lost out to the fourth best team in Luxembourg in the first qualifying round of the Europa League.
