The result wasn’t in the script but Adam Roberts still left Celtic Park feeling part of something special.
All summer long Patrick’s brother was being watched closely on social media for details about the only transfer that seemed on the mind of every Celtic fan.
When the deal did go through Champions League nights was a major part of the attraction with Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Edinson Cavani providing the star studded cast list.
Unreal atmosphere the other night. Nothing comes close ????????????????????#YNWA pic.twitter.com/XIDRKVGyQk

Roberts was Celtic’s most creative and effective player on the night but was given little support as Brendan Rodgers side toiled to make an impression.
No one can make a case for a 5-0 home defeat but if it has to happen there is less shame in losing out to the most expensive strike force ever assembled.
Adam will get two more Champions League games in, more if he can get on the Eurostar and hopefully more moments to celebrate his brother on the biggest stage in the game.
