On the morning that Celtic visit Ibrox one special moment came to mind for John Hartson.

In August 2000 the Welshman famously ‘failed’ a medical at Ibrox with Dutchman Ronald de Boer getting through it with flying colours to join Dick Advocaat at Ibrox.

Hartson never went to public on that incident, the ‘failed’ medical could have hampered his career but a year later he was back in Glasgow signing for Celtic in a £6m deal and repaying Rangers (IL) many times over.

Even with Dave Murray cheating the tax system every single week that Celtic side loved going to Ibrox and putting one over on the locals.

Hartson, Henrik Larsson, Chris Sutton and Alan Thompson liked nothing better than popping one into the net and racing off to celebrate with the Celtic supporters.

On this occasion one photographer looked in real fear as he saw Hartson leap over the advertising hoarding and heading in his direction.

Those goals make memories as highlighted by the faces in the crowd, Hartson as much as anyone will be hoping to celebrate more Celtic heroes this afternoon.
