Pedro Caixinha believes that teams in Scotland are more physical against Sevco than they are in other matches.

The fifth best coach in Qatar was upset by some of the challenges dished out on his players against Partick Thistle with Ryan Edwards tackle on Ryan Jack highlighted in the media.

Five Thistle players were booked by Willie Collum with Chris Erskine shown a red card as the teams battled out a 2-2 draw.

Sevco go back to Firhill tomorrow night in the League Cup with Caixinha ready to adopt a more aggressive approach in the match.

Caixinha revealed that Kenny Miller will be rested for the match against Thistle with Lee Wallace also out through injury.

While beating Thistle is essential for Caixinha he knows that he must survive Saturday’s match against Celtic if he is to remain in charge at Ibrox.

Despite a £10m summer spending spree there are some reports that boardroom patience is wearing thin on the current Ibrox boss with a comprehensive away win putting his job in jeopardy.
