The squeaky voiced Scouser liked to have a pop at Brendan Rodgers, to put down Scott Brown and promise the people the earth when he signed up for Mark Warburton’s revolution.
After that came to a spectacular ending- with the compensation of a two year pay-off- Barton scurried back south to the comfort of Burnley and trying to stir up a media career as the thinking footballer.
