Pena escapes

|

Carlos Pena won’t face any disciplinary action for elbowing Hamilton’s Greg Docherty.

The Sevco midfielder was caught by BT Sport cameras smashing into the midfielder in an incident missed by referee Andrew Dallas.

Yesterday it was reported that SFA Compliance Officer Tony McGlennan was reviewing the incident but today’s 3pm deadline for action passed without any action being taken.

Pena lived a charmed life throughout the match with his first half over the ball attack on Dougie Imrie easily worth a red card on it’s own.

Sitting on a yellow card he used his arm to put the ball in the net midway through the second half and again escaped punishment from Dallas.

Shortly afterwards his team mate Ryan Jack collected a second yellow card for foul play and will now miss next Friday’s trip to St Johnstone who are on the same points mark as Pedro Caixinha’s side in joint third place.

Two weeks earlier Alfredo Morelos escaped punishment despite kicking out twice against a Partick Thistle defender.
