Celtic fans want to see the club ban BBC Scotland from all access to the club.

Monday night’s revelations by the state broadcaster that an Irish businessman was involved in a company that had used a tax efficiency scheme for a firm based in Switzerland sparked a furious reaction.

With Dermot Desmond the prize for the BBC news-hounds Celtic and tax scandal was the message sent out and eagerly picked up every newspaper in the country.

On social media hoops fans were angered by the attempt to smear the club in the same bracket as Rangers who were pushed into liquidation by HMRC in 2012.

A poll by Video Celts resulted in 2404 giving a thumbs up to banning the BBC until January which would send out a message without being drawn into the long running saga that Sevco are currently in.

The option to reduce access for the state broadcaster was given the thumbs up by 231 while a ‘Do nothing’ option.

Celtic haven’t made any formal comment on the attempt to link the club with tax matters, nine days after publishing their annual accounts no one at at BBC Scotland news or sport has published ant review despite a loss of £6.7m on a turnover of £29.2m.
