Hibs fans have flocked to support a petition requesting answers from their board over a number of issues relating to the club’s from Ibrox.

The Edinburgh side were the only club to formally issue a statement telling fans to move on after Celtic requested a full review of the SFA actions over the last dozen or so years.

While many comments from fans quickly disappear into some heavy reading the author of the petition, Christopher Whyte, lays out the argument in clear bullet point fashion posing questions that the Easter Road board will struggle to avoid.

Tonight Rod Petrie is due to meet with Hibs fans for a Question and Answer session where he is expected to be grilled on the governance failures regarding the Ibrox clubs.

Hibs look very capable of challenging for a Europa League place but are in competition with a club propped up by soft loans with debts well outside of UEFA Financial Fair Play rules.

The Easter Road side does have two fan representatives on the board but they appear to have misjudged the mood of the support with the ‘moving on’ statement given unanimous backing by the board of directors.
