The odds on Derek McInnes becoming the next Sevco manager have lengthened as the dissaray at the club becomes obvious.

The Aberdeen boss has been widely touted for the job with odds coming in to 1/7 and 1/8 but this morning the odds on McInnes moving to Ibrox have come out to 8/15 with William Hill and 1/2 with Sky Bet.

Friday’s brief statement has beaten down expectations with the club claiming that they would review applications at the end of this week.

McInnes wouldn’t be applying for the job leaving names such as Alex McLeish, Steve McClaren and Billy Davies in the mix alongwith Graham Murty.

The former Reading defender has been in charge for two matches on a caretaker basis with that situation likely to continue to the club AGM on November 30.

December contains away matches at Aberdeen, Hibs and Celtic with Murty, generally priced at 6/1 likely to be the fall guy for that run of fixtures.
