King’s doomed journey

With Murty mania and a 3-0 win over Partick Thistle enjoyed in a sea of poppies Dave King has pulled off another short term result with the latest disastrous accounts largely buried exactly as planned.

Mixed results and blame Mike Ashley is the party line and has been predictably accepted by the folk that said ‘naebdy telt us’ in 2012 when Craig Whyte led the previous Ibrox club into administration and liquidation.

Even some of the hard of thinking should be able to get their fingers and thumbs around the figures. After five years of trading a £22m share issue has gone, soft loans total £15.9m have piled up with a further £7.2m needed, turnover is £29m created a loss of £6.7m in the top flight of Scottish football!

No wonder they are left with Metro Bank with no NOMAD or share trading facility. And no future.

Missing from the accounts was any mention of future funding from the three bears, it’s all up to Dave King’s NOAL, managed by the man whose QC last month told the Court of Session that the South African based criminal is penniless.

Explaining the range of issues coming up David Low detailed exactly why the club is doomed with only a highly unlikely new buyer able to save the day.

It will only take a ruling from the Court of Session in favour of the Takeover Appeal Board to send the house of cards crashing down as King tries to ride it out in South Africa with Ashley taking the blame.
