A new video has emerged showing why Willie Collum awarded Celtic a late penalty at Motherwell last night.
With two minutes left to play Andy Rose runs towards Callum McGregor then lurches into the back of the Celtic midfielder.
Radio Scotland were highly critical of the decision despite viewing the incident from 50 yards away with the floodlights at Fir Park hardly the best.
“It wasn’t a penalty. I’ve seen it back. I’ve planted my leg and he’s ran into me and flopped over.”

The one camera angle used was inconclusive but that didn’t stop the critics from panning the hoops as they stretched their unbeaten domestic record to 66 matches.
This afternoon Brendan Rodgers made it quite clear that the penalty decision was correct and defended his players against accusations that they were divers.
After going without a domestic penalty all season Celtic have now been awarded penalties in successive games with the pressure now on Kevin Clancy who will referee Saturday’s match between the two clubs- their third meeting in seven days.
