Celtic have been linked with a move for Charly Musonda.
According to a report in The Sun the Chelsea midfielder is keen to go out on loan next month with Brendan Rodgers keen to bring him to Celtic.
Musonda has had two spells on loan at Real Betis but has only made two appearances in the EPL this season and wants to get top team experience.
A six month loan wouldn’t be of much benefit to Celtic but if Chelsea were prepared to make it an 18 month move a deal could be agreed.
That would mean that the 21-year-old would be able to take part in next season’s European qualifiers which are effectively Celtic’s most important matches of the season.
Musonda signed a five year contract earlier this season with Celtic expected to face competition for his signing from a number of European sides keen on the Belgian u-21 internationalist.
