Miller snubbed

Kenny Miller has been snubbed as Graeme Murty looks to appoint a new coach at Ibrox.

Talks are continuing with Falkirk to agree on a compensation fee for Jimmy Nicoll to join Murts until the end of the season.

Miller worked with Murts last season at Development squad level but it seems that the former Reading utility man is wise enough to keep empire builder Miller at a safe distance now that he is in control at Ibrox.

The former Vancouver Whitecaps goal ace suffered a badly torn hamstring in the recent win over Hibs and will be out of action for ‘a significant time’.

With his playing contract up at the end of the season Miller is looking for a route into coaching although media work is another option for the well connected 38-year-old.

Nicoll joined Paul Hartley as Falkirk assistant earlier this season with Falkirk looking for a token fee for his release.
