There wasn’t a single dissenting voice among the Celtic support as they reacted to the transfer of Liam Henderson to Bari.
Neil Lennon gave the teenage midfielder his debut away to Kilmarnock in 2014, Ronny Deila sent him on loan to Rosenborg and Hibs with Brendan Rodgers agreeing to his exit from the club.
Fair play to Liam Henderson for giving it a go in a different country rather than doing the EFL merry-go-round. However, he could’ve been a good signing for Aberdeen or Hibs

Congratulations on the move! Great eye for a pass and very good delivery! Needs game time and hopefully he will develop into the player we all thought he would! #celtic

All the best to @liam53henderson at bari. Never got a decent chance at us. Been a wasted talent on the bench. Mega potential

Liam Henderson joins Bari on a permanent deal it seems. Gotta admire young Scots players going abroad to play. Shows balls and I’ll bet he’ll develop

Henderson’s first Celtic goal came in the title clincher away to Partick Thistle in March 2014 while Hibs fans have fond memories of his devastating contribution to their 2016 Scottish Cup Final win.
Under Rodgers Henderson found himself up against incredible competition for a midfield place with Nir Bitton, Callum McGregor, Nir Bitton Stuart Armstrong, Ryan Christie and Tom Rogic effectively playing for two places in the side with Scott Brown an automatic pick.
With no new contract agreed this season has been notable for playing in the Development League with his younger brother Ewan, as he moves off to Italy it seems the midfielder has the good wishes of every Celtic supporter.
Bari are currently sitting in fourth place in Serie B with only the top two gaining automatic promotion.
