Conor McGregor has did what many young Irish men love to do- pull on a Celtic jersey.

The fighting legend was working out at the Straight Blast Gym Ireland in Dublin when he put on the most famous shirt in football.

With over 22 million followers on Instagram the image was instantly viewed across the world with Kieran Tierney among those complimenting McGregor on his new look. Overnight almost 400,000 followers liked the image.

The Irishman was involved in the most high profile bout on 2017 when he went toe to toe with Floyd Mayweather in August.

Twenty thousand Irish fans made the journey to Vegas where the UFC hero took Mayweather to the tenth round before conceding defeat.

McGregor was the inspiration behind a Green Brigade banner before Celtic played Astana which read ‘WE’RE NOT HERE TO TAKE PART, WE’RE HERE TO TAKE OVER’ a phrase that he used after beating Diego Brandao in 2014.
