Sevco look like missing out on Steven Naismith.
According to Sky Sports the former Scotland striker is in talks about a move to Hearts where he could link up with fellow TUPE-refusnik Kyle Lafferty.
Naismith has been pleading for a move to Ibrox for the best part of a year with reports last week that he would be prepared to pay for free.
With cash tight and no sign of any incoming transfer fees Sevco are powerless to move for Naismith who is under contract with Norwich until June 2019.
Despite the hype, with Burnley’s Scott Arfield the latest player to be linked with a move to Ibrox, Sevco have only managed to bring in Jamie Murphy and Sean Goss have been added to Graeme Murty’s squad since the transfer window opened.
Ibrox Director of Football Mark Allen has put together lists of signing targets in a bid to lift Sevco up from third place in the SPFL Premiership.
