Nadir Ciftci is on his way back from Plymouth- and out again on loan to Motherwell.

According to a report in The Sun the misfit striker is expected to complete a loan move to Fir Park and step into the boots of top scorer Louis Moult.

Ciftci failed to score in half a dozen games for the League One side with his last appearance coming at the end of November.

Celtic paid Dundee United £1.5m for the striker in July 2015 but midway through his debut season he was sent on loan to Turkish side Eskisehirspor.

Under Brendan Rodgers Ciftci was sent out on loan to Pogon Azczecin of Poland but that deal was cut short with no goals scored.

A year ago Mark McGhee was keen to take the 25-year-old on loan to Motherwell but missed the deadline but under Stephen Robinson it looks like Fir Park is the next step in Ciftci’s career.
