If the game is postponed it is likely to be rescheduled for next Tuesday or Wednesday which would give Patrick Roberts and Marvin Compper an extra week of training to prepare for the match.
The matches between Motherwell and Aberdeen and Hibs against Hamilton are also likely to be postponed, with the weather expected to get worse over the next 48 hours the weekend Scottish Cup ties could also be in doubt.
