Brendan Rodgers expects to have Patrick Roberts available this week and is hoping to have Stuart Armstrong and Marvin Compper available soon.

Celtic have been devastated by injuries over the winter but have been able to call on Tom Rogic over the last couple of weeks.

Despite those injury problems Celtic remain on course for a domestic treble with Rodgers likely to be faced with some big selection ‘problems’ over the coming weeks.

Speaking to Radio Scotland before yesterday’s win at Aberdeen the Celtic boss said: “We think that Patrick Roberts should be back next week, he played for 60 minutes for the Development Team on Friday so we’re hoping that he’ll be back in action this coming week.

Compper shouldn’t be too far away either and Stuart Armstrong over the next few weeks, he’ll not be too far away.

Leigh Griffiths there is still doubt around the length of time that he’ll be out, he needs to feel no pain in his calf, obviously he’s had a lot of time not training.

Some of them are nearly back but others are going to take more time.”

Mikael Lustig will be suspended for Wednesday’s game at home to Dundee which will give Cristian Gamboa, Anthony Ralston or Jack Hendry the chance to come into the side.

Following Saturday’s Scottish Cup tie at home to Morton the hoops can settle down to a routine of one match a week until the SPFL split.

After the split Celtic will host Aberdeen, Kilmarnock and Sevco with trips to face Hearts and Hibs.
