Scott Sinclair returns to the Celtic side today for the Scottish Cup tie with Partick Thistle and is joined by Mikel Lustig.

Making a surprise appearance on the bench is Tom Rogic who hasn’t featured in two months and who scored the winning goal in last season’s final triumph over Aberdeen.

Lustig’s return allows Brendan Rodgers to field a more recognisable back four and give the players game time ahead of facing Zenit St Petersburg in the Europa League.

Celtic won 2-1 at Thistle three weeks ago but since then they have lost Leigh Griffiths, Craig Gordon and Dedryck Boyata to injury.

Griffiths came off the bench to turn that match around but today Brendan Rodgers will have to rely on his other striking options to come up with the goals.

Celtic failed to get a shot on target until the 85th minute last week at Kilmarnock while Thistle were drawing 1-1 away to Motherwell where Nadir Ciftci scored for the homeside.

CELTIC: De Vries; Lustig, Ajer, Simunovic, Tierney; Brown, Ntcham; Forrest, Musonda, Sinclair; Dembele

SUBS: Bain, Gamboa, Miller, McGregor, Rogic, Kouassi, Edouard

Joe McHugh has edited Video Celts since 2010, every day covering events in and around Scotland's most successful club.

When a six year stretch at the Sunday Mirror came to an end it was clear that the future was digital, print had ran its race.

Smart phones and social media created a new landscape, Video Celts has certainly made an impact with Joe described as having an unhealthy obsession by Peter Lawwell at the 2024 Celtic AGM. A priceless endorsement.

There are issues breaking around the clock, no two days are the same. More than 50 years on from his first match Joe is enjoying the ongoing successes of Celtic.
