Craig Gordon will play again this season.
According to a report in The Sun a London knee specialist has told the keeper that he will be playing again in April.
Gordon damaged a media ligament during Celtic’s 1-0 win over Hibs with the initial verdict being that he would be out of action for the rest of the season.
Dorus de Vries has stepped in for the last three matches with Scott Bain signed up to provide keeper cover for the rest of the season.
The prospect of Gordon returning will be a welcome boost for the hoops for this season and also going into next season’s European qualifiers.
If they win the Premiership title Celtic will be required to go through four qualifying rounds to claim one of the four places available through the Champions Route.
On the injury front Kris Ajer is likely to be fit to face Partick Thistle in the Scottish Cup where he is expected to link up with Jozo Simunovic.
