Two mystery South American clubs have joined a mystery Chinese club in the ‘race’ to sign Alfredo Morelos.

According to a report in The Sun Sevco won’t be selling the Columbian striker despite the interest generated by his double away to Ayr United.

Details have been very sketchy about interest from China where there is a 100% tax levy on transfer fees above $7m with clubs limited to four foreign imports.

The chances of a bid coming in from South America is equally far fetched with clubs across that continent known as exporters rather than importers of players.

While Sevco try to pretend that they can turn down offers of £8m for Morelos the reality of their accounts is very different.

With the Three Bears and Dave King refusing any more soft loans the troubled company has had to turn to Close Brothers to see out the season.

The iconic Albion Car Park and Edmiston House have been seized as security on a £3m loan which will be repaid from next season’s season ticket money.
