Celtic are close to a double deal to sign up Kris Ajer and Scott Bain.
According to a report in the Daily Record the hoops are confident of securing deals for the duo who have both come to the fore since the turn of the year.
Ajer signed a four year deal when he signed from Start in 2016 but Brendan Rodgers is keen to give him a new contract in line with his importance to the club.
Kieran Tierney got a similar contract earlier this season which put him on a par with the top earners rather than as a leading prospect.
Ajer came into the Celtic defence after the 4-0 defeat from Hearts in December and hasn’t looked back, last week he won his first full international cap.
Bain made a spectacular debut at Ibrox last month as Celtic won 3-2 and has held his place in the two games since.
A number of clubs on both side’s of the border have expressed an interest in the 26-year-old who is out of contract with Dundee at the end of the season.
