The SPFL are 90 minutes away from the ‘Shame Game’ scenario that they spend weeks trying to avoid.
With Celtic losing today at Hibs if Sevco take anything from tomorrow’s home match with Hearts then the hoops can clinch the title in next Sunday’s Glasgow derby.
Celtic are now 13 points ahead of the tribute act with four matches left to play but that lead could be reduced to 12 or 10 pints tomorrow provided Hearts don’t win.
That would then give Celtic the chance to put the title to bed by winning at home to Sevco.
Celtic could have won the title by beating Hibs today but returned from Edinburgh on the end of a 2-1 defeat.
That win cranks up the pressure on Graeme Murty tomorrow with Hibs now level on points in third place while Aberdeen went three points clear in second with their win away to Kilmarnock.
