Marvin Compper is currently injured as the mystery of his Celtic ‘career’ deepens.
According to a report in The Sun the defender suffered an injury in the build up to last Saturday’s defeat from Hibs. Despite an injury to Mikel Lustig, Compper failed to make the substitute bench.
When he signed from RB Liepzig in December the 32-year-old was welcomed as the solution to Celtic’s defensive problems but has only played in one match since arriving- a Scottish Cup win over Morton at the start of March.
Compper picked up an injury during Celtic’s January training camp in Dubai with Jack Hendry’ forcing his way into the team ahead of the German once the season resumed.
With just five matches left to play it’s unlikely that Compper will feature again with Brendan Rodgers expected to strengthen his side’s defence again during the summer.
