Griffiths on Celtic domination

Leigh Griffiths has watched and played his part as Brendan Rodgers has turned Celtic into the untouchables.

The striker was on the bench for the majority of Sunday’s Scottish Cup win over Sevco on Sunday but led the line at the start of the season when the hoops qualified for the Champions League.

While it’s tempers and tantrums across the city Griffiths is content with his role as back-up at Celtic knowing that very few strikers could displace Moussa Dembele.

The former Hibs striker is chasing his 100th goal as a Celtic player and fully appreciates the position that the hoops have put themselves in despite the claims from Ibrox.

From start to finish we dominated the game, didn’t give Rangers a sniff and when we went forward it looked like we’d score a goal every time,” he told the Daily Record.

“Don’t get me wrong, Rangers are a good side but I’ve said it before that when we bring our A-game nobody in Scotland can touch us.”

On Saturday Griffiths will be hoping to help Celtic clinch the title in front of many of his friends at Easter Road.

A win will ensure that it is title number seven for the hoops and a fourth title winning medal for the striker that Neil Lennon signed from Wolves.
