Graeme Murty doesn’t want his Ibrox reign remembered for a four goal hammering from Celtic.
Next Sunday the Ibrox caretaker has the opportunity to gain legendary status by stopping a title party in front of 53,000 Celtic fans.
Murty’s reign in charge of the tribute act has got four matches left to run but he intends to pull off a famous victory before stepping down from power.
“We were all hurting last week,” he told The Sun. “We all had a hard time. We will not be, in my opinion, defined by one game. We won’t allow ourselves to be.
“We have to react in a positive way. I thought the reaction I asked for is the one that I got. We refused to let that game fall over into this week. I thought the boys did that really well.”
Today’s win over Hearts left Sevco above Aberdeen on goal difference in the battle for second place but the remaining fixtures are brutal.
Celtic, Aberdeen and Hibs have to be visited as well as hosting a Kilmarnock side that has taken seven points out of nine from Sevco this term.
Dave King has promised supporters a manager capable of bringing instant success but unless he stumbles upon £11m required for a share offer the South African based criminal could be out the door just as quickly as Murts.
