Making his move to Celtic permanent would hold appeal to the young striker who scored 11 goals last season.
Edouard’s future is bound to be linked to Moussa Dembele with the young striker unlikely to come to Celtic if there are three players competing for one place in the team.
Dembele has been the subject of transfer speculation during every transfer window since he moved from Fulham two years ago.
With two years left on his contract Celtic still have a strong hand to play with Dembele but the opportunity to bring in Edouard could hasten the decision to sell the former Fulham striker.
