Graeme Murty has returned to Sevco to take up his previous role as Development Team coach..
The former York City starlet has had two spells as caretaker manager with the most recent stint ending suddenly following a 5-0 defeat from Celtic that clinched the SPFL title.
According to a report in the Daily Record Murty was back at his desk at Murray Park on Tuesday which is bound to be a major embarrassment to Steven Gerrard as he brings in his own back-room team to drive the Revolution.
After being twice put in charge of the first team and being effectively dismissed with three games left in the season it was assumed that Murty would look for a pay-off and move on with his career.
With no sign of a pay-off Murty has decided to return to duty with the ball now in Sevco’s court to prevent embarrassment for the new regime.
Murty’s promotion opened the door for Craig Mulholland to take control of the Development Squad, a position that he revelled in as he talked at length about progress, development and education while basking in the apparent glory of developing Young McCrorie.
