A group of labourers have been drafted in to carry out much needed work at Ibrox.

Over a decade ago Dave Murray binned the maintenance budget with the once five star stadium slowly slipping into a state of disrepair.

A couple of cosmetic exercises have been tried but the underlying decay of the stadium, inside and out has been obvious to all.

The Main Stand may be a listed building but with club business carried out from the Govan Stand the marble staircase and Blue Room only get to enjoy central heating on match-days.

Social media has picked up on signs of improvement with a couple of painters using a Loyal Tower for some paintwork and to clear the dirt and debris that have accumulated over recent years.

More worryingly for supporters is the state of the roofs on the Govan, Broomloan and Copland Road stands which haven’t been revamped since construction in the early eighties.
