Sevco have been linked with a bizarre swap deal involving Alfredo Morelos and Martin Skrtel!
Reports from Turkey picked up on by The Sun and Daily Record claim that Fenerbahce are sending a delegation to Scotland to pick up the misfiring Colombian striker.
Fenerbahce would be delighted to shed Skrtel’s reported £90,000/week wage from their accounts while moving on Morelos, who was touted for an £11m move to China earlier this year, would save Sevco the embarrassment of that particular moonbeam.
With Nikola Katic signed and Conor Goldston expected this week Sevco appear to have dealt with their leaky central defence after being frightened off by Skrtel’s wages.
Steven Gerrard finally reported to Murray Park this morning with a deal completed to send Joe Dodoo to Blackpool on loan for a season.
The former Leicester City striker, compared to Jamie Vardy when Mark Warburton snapped him up, is still under contract at Ibrox until 2020.
