Celtic have signed the son of football agent Raymond Sparkes with striker Michael agreeing a professional contract today.
The Scotland u-16 and Victory Shield internationalist turned 16 today and celebrated his birthday by signing a professional contract at Celtic Park.
Sparkes will go into Celtic’s u-17 squad for next season with the next step up being to force his way into the Development League side.

With his dad being closely involved in football for 30 years nothing should be too much of a surprise for Michael.
John Collins was the most famous client of Sparkes Senior who got to know the midfielder while working in the commercial department with Hibs.
Moves to Celtic, Monaco and Everton followed as Sparkes developed a stable of players that included Peter Grant, Gordon Marshall, Phil O’Donnell and Simon Donnelly.
Celtic’s Development League side are in action for the first time on Wednesday when they face Lowland League side East Kilbride at the K-Park, kick off 7pm.
