Sevco are hoping to encourage Bruno Alves out the door with the Daily Record and The Sun both jumping on a report from a little known Italian website that a pay off has been agreed.

Gianluca de Marzio is the source of a story claiming that the defender has terminated his Ibrox deal allowing him to move to Parma.

Alves joined the Caixinha Revolution a year ago for the security of a two year contract on a reported salary of £28,000/week and spoke at the weekend about making a career decision for the season ahead.

Having paid transfer fees for Connor Goldson and Nikola Katic it’s clear that there is no place for Alves under Steven Gerrard.

With Sevco forced to switch to loan transfers it’s clear that money is tight with Alves due close to £1.5m for the remainder of his contract.

With Serie A not starting until August 19 Alves has time on his side to negotiate a pay off before he completes his move to Italy.
