Dorus de Vries is free to leave Celtic.

Last season the keeper signed a new contract through until June 2019 but has now been told that he can leave.

Brendan Rodgers worked with de Vries at Swansea and moved to bring the one time Dunfermline keeper to Glasgow in the summer of 2016.

After initially replacing Craig Gordon he found himself on the bench as the Scotland keeper nailed down his position as first choice keeper.

In January Scott Bain was signed on loan from Dundee after Gordon got injured and although de Vries took over in goals for nine matches he was injured before Celtic faced Sevco in March with Bain taking over as back-up keeper.

De Vries has been left behind from the Celtic squad in Austria with Connor Hazzard and Ross Doohan working with Gordon and de Vries.

After 12 years in the UK de Vries is likely to return to Holland to find a new club.
