Moussa Dembele is fit and ready for next Tuesday’s Champions League tie away to Alashkert.
The striker hasn’t played in either of the two friendlies played so far in Austria but Brendan Rodgers has no worries about the striker
Dembele had an injury interrupted time last season but showed his worth on the big occasions by scoring at Pittodrie, Ibrox and Hampden to ensure the double treble.
Two years ago the young Frenchman joined Celtic from Fulham with his development one of the key features in the success of Rodgers.
A fully fit Dembele will increase Celtic’s chances of reaching the group phase of the Champions League with the hoops boss relaxed over the striker’s fitness.
“Moussa has come back really fit,” Rodgers told the Daily Record. “He’s lost weight and looks good in his running.
“He had a slight issue with his knee the other day and we took him out of one of the sessions. We didn’t want to risk it but he’ll be involved on Tuesday.”
Celtic complete their trip to Austria tomorrow with matches against Blue Weiss Linz and Sparta Prague.
