Sevco are ready to drop their interest in Fulham’s Jake Cooper and turn their attention to Curtis Tilt of Blackpool.
According to a report in The Sun Steven Gerrard is running out of patience with Millwall over an alleged £3m bid for their centre half.
Tilt has already been the subject of a £550,000 bid from Ipswich Town but Blackpool are holding out for £1m for the former Forest Green, Wrexham, Telford, Hednesford and Halesowen favourite.
With a year left to run on his Seasiders contract it looks like Tilt will be sold this summer with a life changing phone call from Gerrard certain to swing things in Sevco’s favour.
Shortly after taking over Gerrard was linked with a bid for former Liverpool team-mate Martin Skrtel but talks ended when the defender’s agent ruled out taking an 80% cut on his Fenerbahce contract.
Sevco have splashed out £4m signing up Connor Goldson and Nikola Katic to bolster their defence with Tilt looking like the next part of the Revolution jigsaw.
