Joe Harper has claimed that ‘Rangers’ have been getting decisions from officials for 100 years!
During the seventies Harper was one of the most prolific scorers in Scottish football, playing for Hibs and Aberdeen and being a member of the 1978 World Cup squad in Argentina.
After drawing 1-1 at Aberdeen yesterday Gerrard claimed that decisions had been going against Rangers for years and that the world was against them.
Those comments were welcomed by the gullible who wallowed in Pedro Caixinha’s decisions to ban green boots and paint We Are The People throughout the stadium.
Gerrard’s arrogance and contempt for Aberdeen is certain to build resentment across Scottish football with every club able to recall suffering from honest mistakes against both Ibrox clubs.
In the Aberdeen based Evening Express Harper said: “To say refereeing decisions go against Rangers is way off the mark from Gerrard.
“It shows how little he knows about Scottish football. Rangers have been getting the decisions from officials for 100 years.”
Defending Aberdeen he added: “Aberdeen don’t have to prove anything to Rangers.
“The Dons record both on and off the pitch is immaculate.
“Aberdeen have won two European trophies and have a great manager and strong team that has performed to a consistently high level in recent years.
“It is a club that is debt free and run the right way behind the scenes by a good board.
“Can Rangers say that?”
