Kris Ajer has refused to go into detail about Allan McGregor’s attack on him during Sunday’s Glasgow derby.

The defender is with the Norwegian national squad for matches against Cyprus and Bulgaria with the local media keen to get his take on the incident.

It came as something of a surprise that Willie Collum, who has previously awarded penalties with his back to play, missed the incident but the bigger shock was that the SFA looked at the attack and decided against taking any action.

The special ways of Scottish football are a source of mystery to foreign football fans and reporters with Ajer unwilling to go into detail about the incident.

Norwegian website Nettavision reports

“That’s what can happen in the heat of battle. It was an innovative deadball ball where everyone is pushing. Such situations emerge and come in tough settlement, says Ajer til Nettavisen.

– There’s not much about the situation I want to comment on. There are very many who take care of the situation in Scotland. Then it must be the way it is. I am just very pleased that we won 1-0 in such a big and important match. It was very important, “said the Norwegian national team player.

Asked about the SFA’s decision not to take retrospective action he replied.

I have absolutely no comment. It must be decided by the Scottish Association, “says Ajer.

On international duty this week Ajer will be given the protection he is denied in the Scottish version of the game.
