John Kennedy and Shaun Maloney will be part of a strong Celtic contingent in Cork tomorrow night to take part in a memorial match to Liam Miller.

The two Celtic coaches came through the ranks at the same time as Miller who tragically lost his battle with cancer earlier this year.

A Celtic/Ireland select will take on a Manchester United side allowing many of Miller’s former team-mates to pay their respect to the midfielder who lived the dream of most Irish kids to pull on the jersey of Celtic, Ireland and Manchester United.

Roy and Robbie Keane will be involved as will Colin Healy, Stan Petrov, John Hartson, Neil Lennon and Paul Lambert.

Miller joined Celtic straight from school and made his big breakthrough at the start of the 2003/04 season, scoring in Celtic’s Champions League wins over Anderlecht and Lyon.

Although his move to Old Trafford never worked out he is fondly remembered by supporters of Hibs, Leeds and Sunderland before he went on to play in Australia and the United States.
