Neil McCann is on the brink of being sacked after Dundee lost 3-0 at home to Hibs.

The Taysiders have started the season with six straight SPFL defeats to leave them anchored at the foot of the table.

McCann replaced Paul Hartley in April 2017 on a caretaker basis and decided to stay on after steering the club free of relegation.

Today’s defeat leaves Dundee four points adrift of St Mirren at the bottom of the table with Livingston and Hamilton, who were both tipped for the drop sitting 11 and 7 points ahead of the Dens side.

It was goal-less at half time at Dens Park but two quick goals from Florian Kamberi and Martin Boyle at the start of the second half turned the screw on McCann before Thomas Agyepong completed the scoring in the 88th minute.

Kenny Miller is the obvious caretaker manager if McCann is sacked with Dundee facing Hamilton away from home next Saturday.
