Filip Benkovic makes his Celtic debut tonight against St Mirren as Brendan Rodgers switches to a three man back line.

The on-loan Leicester City defender joins Dedryck Boyata and Kris Ajer at the back with Mikael Lustig dropping out through injury.

For ten days Celtic fans have been able to bask in the afterglow of the derby success over Sevco which came at the end of a difficult transfer window.

Moussa Dembele’s loss will be a blow to Rodgers’ plans but opens the door widely for Odsonne Edouard and the newly resigned Leigh Griffiths.

Full points tonight will draw Celtic level with Hearts at the top of the Premiership and allow the hoops to sit back tomorrow and see how the others respond.

Celtic’s next match is on Thursday when they open their Europa League campaign at home to Rosenborg.

CELTIC: Gordon; Ajer, Boyata, Benkovic; Forrest, Brown, McGregor, N’tcham, Tierney; Rogic, Edouard
