Steven MacLean has accepted his two match ban for grabbing Eboue Kouassi’s genitals- and will now be available to face Celtic on Saturday.

The Hearts striker could have had an appeal against the two match ban heard at Hampden tomorrow but has decided to accept his ban.

According to a report in The Sun:

And now the Hearts veteran has accepted the punishment and will sit out the Hibs clash and the first Betfred Cup tie of next season.

After the defeat at Murrayfield MacLean claimed that he was just having a bit of fun, yesterday his manager Craig Levein laughed the incident off.

With Steven Naismith out of action for the next six to eight weeks Levein will be without his three first choice strikers for tonight’s derby clash with Uche Ikpeazu out injured until well into the new year.

Hearts are currently five points ahead of Kilmarnock at the top of the table but that lead is under threat with Hibs, Celtic and Killie to be faced in their next three matches.
