Don Robertson will referee Saturday’s match between Celtic and Hibs giving him back to back matches involving the Edinburgh side.
Two weeks ago the Glasgow based accountant got through the 6-0 win over Hamilton Accies without issuing a single card.
It is a reasonably quick return to Celtic Park for Robertson who took charge of the 1-0 win over Hamilton Accies in August.
Robertson was recently involved in a highly controversial penalty in Kilmarnock’s 3-1 win over Motherwell when Aaron Taylor-Sinclair fell theatrically to the deck after Stephen O’Donnell withdrew from making a challenge.
Fortunately justice was done when Motherwell missed the penalty.
Robertson’s most famous incident involving Celtic was in April 2017 when he awarded a penalty against Erik Sviatchenko as Ross County’s Alex Schalk dived in the penalty box with the Celtic defender a yard away from making contact.
Andrew Dallas will referee Sunday’s match between Hamilton Accies and Sevco.
