Leigh Griffiths put in a welcome appearance at the Tommy Burns Supper hosted by the Herriot Watt Edinburgh University Celtic Supporters Club.
The striker took a break from his extra training sessions at Lennoxtown to mingle with Celtic supporters while most of his team-mates were enjoying a sunshine break or on international duty.
The Burns Supper dates back to the mid-eighties when a group of Celtic supporting students in the capital decided to honour the hoops midfielder rather than the bard from Ayrshire.

With the main man making an appearance and grabbing the microphone to answer questions and sing some of his favourite songs the Burns Supper became a highlight of the Celtic supporters calendar.
It had been planned to hold the final Burns Supper in 2009 after the death of the former Celtic player and manager but in the last few years the event has been re-established.
With a full week of training ahead of him Griffiths will be hoping for peak fitness with some more capital dates looming as Brendan Rodgers face Hibs and Hearts twice over the next three weekends.
